Cameron joined Bluesky Strategy Group in October 2018 and has since supported clients in a range of sectors, including agricultural, Fintech, natural resources, information technology and non-profits. He has a wide variety of worked and lived experience that has helped to not only inform but mold his experience and background.
Born and raised in Northwestern Ontario, he spent a decade working in the New Democratic Party Caucus in Ottawa. Cameron has extensive experience and interest in the Natural Resources, Education and Indigenous Rights policy portfolios. He also has extensive experience working with parliamentary processes and the development of legislation. Over the past 15 years, he has worked on more than a dozen political campaigns at the federal, provincial and municipal levels, including three leadership campaigns. He has twice been a candidate in municipal elections in the cities of Peterborough and Ottawa.
A proud bilingual citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario, he served one term as Chair of the Ottawa Region Métis Council. He has also served two terms as “Policy and Communications Director” of the NDP’s Aboriginal Peoples Commission. Cameron is a founding Co-Chair of the Ontario NDP’s Aboriginal Peoples Committee and spent three years as a member of the executive of the Ontario NDP.
Cam is a big fan of the beautiful game, football. His favourite clubs are Newcastle United, Paris Saint-Germain and Toronto FC. He is a diehard fan of Canada’s National Teams and is looking forward to Canada co-hosting the 2026 World Cup.
