Having lived in three different countries and worked in three different sectors, Angelo joined Bluesky Strategy Group to support a diverse array of client files through his strong writing abilities, in-depth research skills, and keen understanding of the political and business environment in Canada and internationally.
Most recently, Angelo worked as Communications & Government Relations Specialist with Food, Health & Consumer Products of Canada, a national industry association representing the manufacturers of everyday grocery and pharmaceutical products. In that role, Angelo was responsible for communicating with governments, stakeholders, and the public regarding the interests of the association. This included leading in the creation of cross-platform campaigns on key issues for the food, health, and consumer product sector, supporting broader strategies during key periods like federal and provincial elections and budgetary cycles, and connecting with a variety of stakeholders across a range of sectors to find common priorities and establishing effective collaborations.
Angelo has also been heavily involved in academic research in both Canada and Scotland and worked in large and small media organizations in Scotland and Greece through positions covering online news reporting, newspaper editing, content management, and the development and execution of extensive social media and marketing strategies.
Angelo holds a Master’s in Political Science from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Sociology and Social Policy from the University of Stirling in Scotland. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Association des psychothérapeutes du Québec.
A huge movie buff, Angelo’s favourite movies tend to be much older than he is and the annual Academy Awards show is known as his Super Bowl.
