Senior Content Strategist
Elizabeth Gray-Smith has 18 years of creative public relations, strategic communications, content strategy, issues management, and writing experience spanning Toronto’s film and television industry, Ottawa’s Mayor’s office, the national not-for-profit arena, the corporate sector, government, and the capital’s social scene. She has worked closely with internationally-renowned film directors, CEOs of multinationals, executives in national associations, senior leadership teams in public sector agencies, and political figures,
helping them craft their narrative and broadcast it through the relevant channels that spark public conversation. For almost two decades, Elizabeth has held her finger on the pulse of the evolution, and potential, of content in all its forms.
A writer at heart, she has been published in numerous outlets, more notably as a regular contributor to iPolitics.
Elizabeth’s work at Bluesky allows her to plug in her digital prowess and handle of the written word to the many clients looking to up their game in the current landscape. Her portfolio of expertise further includes social media and traditional media training, image branding, digital advocacy, full-shop content audits and revamps, corporate social responsibility program development, event planning, media relations, speechwriting and scriptwriting.
When she is not at her desk or in the field with a client, Elizabeth is in the community. She sits on the organizing committee for the Politics & the Pen gala which raises funds for the Writers’ Trust of Canada; volunteers as a regular columnist for her community newspaper; and, sinks her skills into multiple community-based initiatives throughout the year.
Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
Elizabeth has a bookshelf in her home completely dedicated to CanLit, packed mostly with political literature. While her work normally finds outlets online, she admits, she still likes paper.
